John grew up in Missouri then attended the US Air Force Academy graduating in 1978 with a BS in Chemistry. He enjoyed a 20-year USAF/ANG flying career flying AT-38, F-4, F-16 and B-1 aircraft. After retirement John relocated to Alaska and found work at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport as the Security Manager (1998-2001), Operations Manager (2001-2004), Deputy Director (2004-2008) and currently the Airport Manager. John received his AAE in 2007. He is married to Dee Hanson and lives in Anchorage with 2 dogs and a couple airplanes.

Daren Griffin is currently the General Manager of Airport Operations for the Port of Portland, managing operations and customer relations at Portland International Airport, as well as Hillsboro and Troutdale Airports which serve as relievers to Portland International Airport. Daren formerly served as the State Airports Manager for the Oregon Department of Aviation, managing 28 state-owned general aviation airports. Prior to this position, He served as Deputy Airport Director at Yuma International Airport in Yuma, Arizona. Daren holds a B.S. degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona. He became an Accredited Airport Executive in March 2002. Daren is the 1st Vice-President and President Elect for the Oregon Airport Managers Association. Daren is a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Arizona Army National Guard. He resides in Vancouver, WA. with his wife and two children.

Al has been in aviation since 1978 starting with two years full time at the Utah Air National Guard and 25 years at Salt Lake City International Airport. Al started at Salt Lake International Airport as an Airport Operations Officer and has progressively moved through Senior Airport Operations Officer, Airport Operations Supervisor, Airfield Manager, Airfield Operations Superintendent and has been the Airport Operations Superintendent over Airfield & Terminal Operations and General Aviation for the last five years. Al is an Accredited Executive A.A.E. with the American Association of Airport Executives. He was a founding member of the Utah Airport Operators Association (UAOA) and has served as a board member, executive secretary and president since 1985. Al actively participates in national aviation issues and serves on a number of FAA, NWAAAE and AAAE industry committees.

Bill Restall was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After completing his secondary education, he attended the University of Winnipeg where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. Subsequent to that, he continued his studies at the University of Manitoba and completed a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in 1974. He received his Accreditation as an Airport Executive in 1995.

He commenced his career in Airport management in 1974; and has had stints as a Duty Manager at Winnipeg International Airport, as Airport Manager at both Churchill, Manitoba and Whitehorse, Yukon, and as the Central Regional Director – Airport Operations – Transport Canada. Bill became the Airport Manager for the Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker Airport in July 1985. Bill stayed with the Airport when it was transferred to a local Airport Authority on January 1, 1999 and he currently is the President and Chief Executive Officer for the Authority.

Bill was one of the founding members/directors of the Saskatchewan Aviation Council.
He is also a Past President of the International Northwest Aviation Council, a past Director with the Northwest Chapter of the Association of Airport Executives, a Director with the Canadian Airports Council, a member of the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, the North Saskatoon Business Association and the International Association of Airport Executives - Canada.

Richard Paquette has over 30 years experience in airport management and operations and is currently President and CEO of Victoria Airport Authority.

Mr. Paquette held the position of President and CEO of Airport Performance Group Ltd., a subsidiary of the Calgary Airport Authority. Before that he worked for the Calgary Airport Authority as Vice-President, Airport Development.

Over the past 30 years Mr. Paquette’s airport background included a number of progressively senior positions in Transport Canada, General Manager of Calgary and Edmonton International Airports, and Director Airport Operations – Pacific Region.

Robert Olislagers (Oli-sla-gers) has nearly 25 years experience in airport management, having served airports in New York and California . He has been executive director of Centennial Airport in Denver, CO since 2000. Robert holds a BA/MA (anthropology) from the University at Buffalo and a PhD (business administration) from the University of Santa Barbara . He also completed post-graduate programs in national and international security at Harvard University and the USAF Air War College . Robert serves on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Airport Executives and chairs its General Aviation Committee. He assisted both the Transportation Security Administration with drafting security guidelines for the nation’s 19,000 general aviation landing facilities and InfraGard (FBI) with the General and Commercial Aviation Transportation Sector security abstract. He has published one book (foreword by Gen. Chuck Yeager) and numerous articles on flying and airport-related subjects, and assisted the History Channel with the Modern Marvels series on International Airports II. His numerous honors include Airport Executive of the Year, the Airport Executive Partnership Award and the Captain Eldridge Lifetime Achievement Award.

David grew up in Littleton, Colorado, and began his aviation career in 1989 as an Operations Intern at Centennial Airport in Englewood, Colorado, where he eventually became the Assistant Operations Manager. From 1996 to 2002, David managed the Yellowstone Regional Airport in Cody, Wyoming, and from 2002 until 2005 David was the director of the St. George Municipal Airport in St. George, Utah, where he was heavily involved in the landmark environmental analysis of a proposed new commercial service airport for southwest Utah.

In May 2005, David moved back home to Colorado, assuming the position of Assistant Director of Aviation/Administration at the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, where he oversees the airport’s capital development, properties, financial and security functions.

David, an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) since 1995, obtained his bachelors degree in Aviation Management from Metropolitan State College of Denver. He been the Northwest Chapter’s representative on the AAAE National Board of Examiners since 2002, and he also represents the Northwest Chapter on the AAAE National Board of Directors. David was the recipient of the Northwest Chapter’s President’s Award in 2001 and the Aviation Excellence Award in 2009.

David is a Past President of both the Northwest Chapter of AAAE, and the Wyoming Airport Operators Association.

Tim Doll has been the Airport Director for the Euenge Airport in Eugene, OR since April 2007. Prior to moving to Eugene, Tim was the Director of Operations at Little Rock National Airport in Arkansas. Tim has over 16 years of airport management experience and has worked at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and Richmond International Airport prior to his time in Little Rock. Tim is an accredited member of AAAE and is a Past President of the Southeast Chapter of AAAE as well as a current Board Member for NWAAAE. Tim has a degree in Aiprort Management from Arizona State University.
